Description
“While your students may be excited about March basketball, you can run Classical Art Music Madness in the music room! If you don’t have a large bulletin board, this looks great as a wall display. Introduce students to new pieces and composers at the beginning or end of every class in March.

The compositions are merely suggestions and are split with Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Impressionist composers on the left and Modern on the right. Since Impressionism is considered a part of the Modern period, if you want to change the pieces, you can because the PowerPoint is editable! Just type, print, and display!
This would work for elementary through high school general music, choir, orchestra, and band. Use them as a calm way to end your class with a listening activity or open your classroom up to debate why students chose one piece over another.
I tried to include a diverse representation of composers, but if you have a favorite that is not on the list, swap one out in the editable version!
INCLUDED:
- Non-editable PowerPoint (Print & Display)
- Editable PowerPoint
- Student handouts to record choices for the final 8 or 4 pieces
- Ideas for use
