The Drum Beats For Half Notes rhythm game is an active and fun elementary music activity for reinforcing half note rhythms. It’s available for Google Slides and PowerPoint in Standard and Kodály friendly Stick Notation!
This is one of my favorite go-to activities for the whole class! I use it as a review at the end of the period, and students exit on a happy note.
This game requires listening to a pattern to see if it matches the rhythm assigned to each student. The fun part is changing seats with classmates. My students LOVE this game, and there is no winner so that it can be played for any length of time.
